The previous 2 days were so rainy and stormy. Whats more unusual is the thunder storm... the noise and lightning created a scary atmosphere. So a photo geek like me.. wouldn't wanna miss such moments ^^)

So in the end I did participate in this event !

although I believe everyday should be an Earth day.. but to be part of something with the whole family was kinda fun, and a good lesson to my younger siblings ;)

قبل شوي أقرأ مقال وانا في قمة ال "مالي خلق" وفيني النوووم

الموضوع يتكلم عن هرمون السعادة وكيفية الحصول عليه .. "حيث انه" ما يفرز إلا بالليل عند النوم ... يعني الي ما ينام بدري .. يروح فيها

طيب مو بس كذا .. إلي لفت نظري هالجزء

الخطوات السليمة للحصول على هرمون السعادة:
1. نم مبكراً ما بين الثامنـة إلى العاشـــرة مســاءً .
2. مــــــــارس الريــاضـــــــــة بشكـــــل منتظــــــم .
3. اجعل عشائك خفيفاً مع مراعاة أن يكون باكــراً .
4. النظام والترتيب, فالحياة في بيئــة غير منظمــة
ترهق الإنسان وتجعله غير سعيد ومشتت الذهن

يعني على كذا أنا نسبة هرمون السعادة عندي 0 % !!!!!

طيب وإلي يكتئب لما ينام بدري ! وماله خلق يسوي رياضة ... ومزاجه ياكل بالليل ... ومكيف نفسه مع الحوسة !!! هذا يصير تعيس !

بجاوب نفسي ... ايه أحس بقوة تعيس ! =_=

ألحين أنا عرفت سبب جزئي من الكآبة إلي إحنا فيها ... بس هل راح أسوي خطة عكسية !

بفكر شوي وبرد بعدين إن شاء الله ....

My rockin sis wanted to celebrate my graduation and my BD on one day... she felt it's more worthy it that way.. and I do agree.. since my graduation and birthday is on the same month , which make it so special !

Google gives Nexus Ones away at TED !!!

A quote from the main article :

I'm not in a position to judge google's marketing strategy ! in fact I should be learning lessons from that move !

However, I can't deny the fact that I'm a n00b , trying to understand the following :

1- If some can afford the 6000 $ ticket and attend TED , but don't own a nexus one, it means they're NOT interested ! otherwise they can easily get themselves the device !

2-giving away such a valuable thing, really degrade the value of it !

giving nexus one to youtube partners was kinda smart , since they're already loyal , and aside from the promotional part , it can be considered as a reward for their hard work , u know they're sorta one team (I know they're already getting payed !)

Now, google, why do u give away such a huge amount of ur devices for FREE and refuse (delay) to sell ur product and gain money from many customers around the world craving for you're nexus one !

I kinda took it personal , it hurts me so much that google is giving away their devices ! are they that desperate !!!!! and why don't they sell it hear in KSA instead !

Saudis LOVE gadgets, just look at the BBs and iPhones around us !

P.s. maybe I'm getting the whole thing wrong, correct me if so, please :)

Microsoft GDC '09

Gulf Developers Conference 2009 (GDC '09) , a 3-day conference which is the largest Microsoft developers' event in the Gulf region.

Artificial Intelligence and E-Commerce courses have been canceled just to encourage us to attend this conference, we really appreciate it Professors ^^

The organizer of this event was Marcom. It was well organized and almost everything went smoothly ....

We got to know many of Microsoft's new techs and tools, which was interesting at some parts !

There were more speakers , but I just picked those to feature in my video.

KSU Students' Research Preparatory Symposium for SSC

Today was a big day in my University, it was as the title stated...

So many students , so many researches and projects... it was a pretty hard competition.

No matter how hard it was...we could make it through... we won :D cuz "we are the champoins my friends ". I was so happy for our project iMarket to be chosen among the other computer science projects... AlhamdulilAllah ^^

I was also happy, cuz the winners of most of the prizes were females... I'm so proud KSU females ...this is how it should be ;)

It was a good opportunity to meet ppl I used to know, some who I knew through my summer training 2008 at King Khalid University Hospital from the SW development center, and some are old friends from high school.

P.s it was REALLY hard to get these shots of the exhibition area, cuz as u know ...no photos in the females area and it was crowded... but I took the opportunity when the press came in to take some shots ;)

Okyakusama wa kamisama desu

I entered that little traditional Japanese shop :

a lady greeted "Irrashaimase== welcome to the shope (to our service)" with her nice smile,

I looked around the shop without her nagging me to buy, then I went out buying nothing,

yet she said politely "Arigatou guzaimasu == Thank you so much " !

I went to that major brand store I was treaded in the same friendly way ...

In Japan, there’s a well known proverb that says :

“Okyakusama wa kamisama desu =customers are God”

Customers service there is the best I've ever seen in my entire life...

It hurts so much!!! yes it does.. cuz I keep comparing that with the reality in Saudi Arabia !

Most of the consumers targeted businesses in SA lacks of good customers service...

and I'm giving my verdict as a mere customer... as their target !

For example, the distributer of Nikon here Ahmed Abdulwahed Trading Co. .

They might be distributing commodities , but they forgot that they also offer service !

Their customers' service is the worst, and I'm trying to be polite here....

I bought a 6000 Riyal camera, yet I wasn't given any service when I was troubled with my lens.

And so many other examples out there (Restaurants, retail shops ..etc.)

The problem in service is not only salespersons manners, it's also the knowledge they lack of...

when a person is selling cameras, he should know his commodity and so on.

After discussing this with some of my friends I've come to wonder... who exactly do they serve !

Aren't customers' their greatest asset !!!

Customers here in KSA should have more knowledge about their own rights,

and salespersons should be trained on how to serve their customers.

I still dream of a perfect market here in SA (from a customer's perspective ).

Where I can be treated as a Kamisama !

ok here is one story about how math is ruining my mood !

It was after midnight ... I was in charge of finalizing our project's proposal ... I was so damn tired and sleepy.... I barely could open my eyes...

I finished my job, then I wanted to forward the document to my group...

I clicked send... then this stupid nerve hitting message appeared ...

math !!! I thought it's only captcha ... why is it math !

it was so frustrating ... trying to use my mind at that state... and u can notice from the screen shot that I needed more than one trial -_-

Now what was this for ? does google want us to hate them?!

nope... I guess!

This feature is called Mail Goggles ( one of Labs interesting features) which u can enable from settings menu.

This is the description of this feature :

Mail you send late night on the weekends may be useful but you may regret it the next morning. Solve some simple math problems and you're good to go. Otherwise, get a good night's sleep and try again in the morning .

I totally forgot that I enabled this feature... I was extremely frustrated at that time... but now that I think about it... I know that I'm a person who might do things impulsively at night then regret it later... so let google be my virtual parent and take a good care of me ;p

but I still wonder...why math !!! T_T

Google Wave الجيل الجديد في عملية التواصل

اليوم وصلتني دعوة لإستخدام قووقل ويف ... تقنية رائعة بالفعل وقد كنت متحمسة لها كثيرا.. فشكرا لكِ باش ^^

قووقل ويف في مرحلة التجربة والصلاحيات لإستخدامه حاليا محصورة لمن تم دعوتهم.

طبعا استخدمنا قوقل ويف فورا في عمل البروبوزل المطلوب تسليمه في مادة الإي كومرس...

ومن هذا المنطلق سأتكلم عن هذه التقنية التي فعلا أتوقع أن تكون المهيمنه في مجال التواصل.

بالبداية دعونا نعرف ما هو قووقل ويف ؟

هو عبارة عن أداة تفاعلية تسمح للأعضاء التواصل والإشتراك في نفس الوقت في التحرير وتبادل الملفات .

wave هو المستند الأساسي الذي يحوي بداخله مشاركات إما رد أو نعديل و يسمى بليب Blip

ويف تعني موجة ، وأنا أتخيل أن سبب التسمية هو تشبيه بموجات الراديو ، حيث بإمكانك التنقل بين موجات متنوعة بمحتويات مختلفة .

مميزاته :

- بالسابق كانت عملية تراسل المستندات كالتالي :

عدة نسخ مخزنة في الأجهزة الشخصية لعدة مستخدمين. وكانت عملية التعديل والتحديث مكلفة جدا .

أما في قوقل ويف

نسخة واحدة مخزنة في سيرفر قووقل ، وبإمكان الجميع المصرح لهم بالدخول الاطلاع او التعديل عليها.

- أثناء التفاعل والكتابة يكون هناك تدقيق آلي للأخطاء الإملائية والنحوية وحتى التدقيق من ضمن سياق الكلام.

- إمكانية الترجمة الفورية أثناء التخاطب للعديد من اللغات وذلك بإضافة روبوت روزي (برنامج مساعد ) من قووقل

- تظهر التعديلات في الوقت الحقيقي ..فإبمكانك أن ترى حرف حرف مما يكتبه الطرف الآخر ( بمعنى آخر يمديك تلحق عليه لو كتب شي ما عجبك ! )

- و بإمكانك استعراض التعديلات التي مر بها الويف بحسب تسلسلها التاريخي .

إستخداماته:

أثناء العمل على المشاريع الجماعية :

اليوم أثناء عملنا في المستند ، كان مريح جدا من حيث أننا نستطيع التعديل والتسيق من غير الحاجة إلى اللجوء لعمل نسخ متعدده من المستند.

وكذلك إمكانية التعديل عليه في أي وقت . وعمل مشاركة للملفات كالصور والمستندات.

في العصف الذهني (برين ستورمنج)

أعتقد بأن هذا مفيد جدا ، حيث عندما كنا في جلسة عصف ذهني بخصوص مشروع التخرج ، إستخدمنا قووقل دوك ولكن لم يكن سهلا وخصوصا في عملية تبادل المصادر كالصور والفيديوز .

والجدير بالذكر أنه هنا في قووقل ويف ، بإمكانك إدخال تصويت للمستند مما يساعد جدا في توفيق الآراء.

عمليات متعدد من خلال واجهة واحدة:

بإمكانك إضافة برامج إضافية او ما تسمى روبوتس أو اي محتوى له Api خاصة به ، وعن طريقها بإمكانك نشر الصور والفيديوز والأخبار.

مثلا

Bloggy

يمكنك من إضافة الويفز الصورية ، بحيث تشاركها مع الغير عن طريق مدونتك وكذلك بالنسبة للتعليقات.

وبإمكانكم إضافته عن طريق هذا العنوان

السلبيات :

من خلال تجربتنا اليوم ، كان هناك سلبيات من حيث عملية الإتصال . ينقطع الإتصال فلا أكون قادرة على المشاركة المباشرة في التعديل مع عدم وجود مشاكل في الإتصال بالانترنت.

وأيضا مشكلة مزعجة وهي المؤشر للأشخاص المساهمين في التعديل... كما ترون في الفيديو.. قد يحجب عنك المؤشر النص أو أنه قد يشتت الإنتباه.

هذا فقط ما وجدته من سلبيات ... ومن جهتي لا أمانع ! أعني أن الخدمة مجانية وهذا فعلا أكثر من ممتاز !

قووقل ويف ... بعمق تقتني

الجدير بالذكر هنا ، وخصوصا للمبرمجين ، فقد تمت برمجة قوقل ويف بلغة جافا أما واجهة التشغيل فبإستخدام قوقل ويب توول كيت.

بالنسبة لعملية التواصل فالبروتوكول المستخدم هنا يخلتف عن بروتوكول الإيميل، حيث أن المستخدم هنا هو ويف فيديريشن بروتوكول Wave Federation Protocol

قووقل تسعى لأن تغير توجه الانترنت ، حيث أنها ترى أن قوقل ويف يمكن أن يكون البديل والتوجه الأساسي للتواصل في الإنترنت ، والتخلي عن بروتوكول الإيميل.

بروتوكول الإيميل هو وسيلة التواصل الأساسية في الانترنت لفترة طويل، أما بروتوركول ويف فيديريشن فإنه جديد وفي قيد التطوير...

قووقل لها نظرتها الخاصة ... ولها عقلية المدبر والمسيطر... متحمسة جدا لما يحمله المستقبل من تطورات في مجال الإتصال !

من جهتي ... أتوقع أن يكون هناك تغير جذري في بروتوكول عملية التواصل !

عن نفسي بدأ يشغل تفكيري موضوع الهواتف الذكية... من قبل لم أكن من المعجبين بها ولكن مع توفر كم هائل من السوفتوير للآي فون جعلني أعيد التفكير قليلا

قبل قليل كنت أتصفح اليوتيوب ولفت إنتباهي برنامجين لا أدري ان كانت منتشرة هنا بين ملاك الأي فون بالسعودية

الفكرة ان يكون معك6 أنواع قيتار (إلكتروني - أسباني -وتري - بيس...إلخ ) في جهاز واحد... وهذا الجهاز هو هاتفك المحمول !ا

وبإمكانك أيضا إضافة تأثيرات لصوت القيتار ... مثلا ديستورشن (تشويش ) كأغاني الميتل .. او عمل ديلاي وغيرها من التأثيرات

طريقة العزف بسيطة... مجرد تحريك الأصابع على شاشة اللمس والضغط على الأوتار

In Japan, English wont do !

Paulo Coelho has mentioned in his book "Alchemist", that there is one universal language can be used to communicate with everyone all over the world .

I kinda believed in that, but never tested it!

until I was in that country which knows nothing but their own language !

I've recorded one of the "battles' ... I mean conversations while I was in Wased University... check out the video :

After this trip , I've come to realize that

in order to fully enjoy Japan.... you MUST speak Japanese... English wont do!

Sony Building , Tokyo

While hanging out in the fancy district Ginza in Tokyo ... My friend wanted to get into Armani building were she decided to camp there...
I'm totally not into these shops especially if I'm in Tokyo !!! I mean when technology and otaku culture are found who on earth would prefer shopping over them !!!!

I lost her and went to the "epic" building just beside it... it's Sony Building !!!! I was like "Sonyyyy!!!Moeeee X) ".... let's take pictures :P

it's raining as usual :/...and I'm the robot there :P

I'm telling you girls.... this place is AWESOME !!! Luckily I found my lovely geeky mom there , but of course we separated ... cuz in this 8-story building we definitely wouldn't share the same interests !!

The first floor was full of plasma screens.... all the new hot stuff... and it was exhibited in a way which looks exactly like the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium ... I already went there and really it does look and FEEL the same !!!!

The most interesting floor was the cameras' floor.... Oh God .. it's like heaven to me... I've been struggling here in Riyadh when I was searching for a DSLR... and sony was the worst here !!!!

The digital compact camera in the photo bellow is not available yet....
I totally recommend it... it's amazing... super duper pro, and so light... I mean I'm getting sick of my Nikon D90... and this sony lil one can compete!

I totally enjoyed the freedom of using the cameras there.... they scatter objects every where for the customers to take photos of them... no one is there staring at you and ruining the moment ... they trust the customers and give them space !!!!
The best part is that you get to use the newest cameras from Sony... you know the ones coming soon in japan.. not to mention soon to the world !!! and some of them are only under testing not yet manufactured !!! Cool isn't it ;)

here I made a video about the place, I didn't bring my HD camera so u gotta bare with my sony phone camera ;)

On another floor you find the newest laptops from sony.... and there is that new tech which was interesting .... it's basically an app that comes with their webcams and captures the motion of your face and transform it into the character you choose... simply imitation .... I dunno much about whether it's used here or not yet.

In this building there is the Opus Communicating Zone which is an area where you can experience the audio and visual entertainment presented by Sony in a very high standards .

play station , PSP, you can play any kind of game !!! you name it... 7amaas XD

There is that part of sony that I didn't know... it's the Insurance company Sony Life !!!!! I went to that place in the building called "Life Planning Square" were you can virtually plan your life, it's a a very powerful application based on artificial intelligence using case studies....

Dear Freud, a Letter to You

I'm gonna talk about some issue.... you know when we say "Girl you've got issues ".... Well...I'm referring to these issues!

Passion, is such an agitating thing ! we all have things that we like..sometimes love obsessively!

When there is love... there is jealousy . I've never experienced the feeling of jealousy...cuz my love has never been tested. But now I do !!!!

here's this weird scenario :
You love a girl so much, she's beautiful , elegant , smart and so nice to everyone. One day that girl decided to be on a TV show. She went there wearing her best dresses and she was so provocative. Everyone is watching her, and admiring her! Well, since you "feel" that that girl is yours , then you are afraid that others would approach to her and you might loose her....simply you don't wanna share her with anyone !!!! Ok...
so far ,this is not considered weird , I mean until you see what's weirder !

My case is so similar to that scenario I just gave, except that the girl here is a COUNTRY !!!!!! God I hate that damn Hijazi guy for showing off my girl.. I mean my country in that way on TV... To be honest I NEVER watched any bloody episode of that show , all what I know is what ppl say about it... Most of them knew Japan , but they didn't know that much.... but now I hear a great fuss about this Damn show and my beloved country !

I just deepened my relationship with her ....That's unfair !

Dear Freud ... If you were still alive , what would you consider this feeling as !!!

I've always wanted to be a performer or some sorta person who owns the stage and perform whatsoever. Especially dramatic plays.

This is an impossible dream ! ... if I follow it word for word!!!
But I decided to make presentation rooms and halls my own theater !.... I wanna rock it out in my own path !

I made a presentation today in the company I'm working in this summer. I've done couple of presentations before, for instance the one I've done in King Khalid University Hospital - IT dept. in front of all the IT staff including the head of the dept. Dr.Ahmad Al-Barrak.
It was a success , al7amdulilah. And also the most recent presentation was for our graduation project (part 1).

Today I dunno why ... it was different.... something inside me has awaken, it's the seek for perfection and professionalism .

I had to do a presentation about the company to show how much I know ,as part of my summer employment.

Thanks to Allah I did great, I was so happy when they liked it, so I wanted to share what I've learned from this experience.

How to do a successful presentation :

1- As native Arabic speakers , Some people find it an obstacle to do their presentation in English, so if your English is not bad, I assure it will be better by simply reading materials related to the same topic your going to present . By reading out loud you are training your tongue while using the correct terminologies and phrases related to your topic .

2-It's really important to know your audience before making your presentation. why is that important ? for many reasons , for instance your style ,your language and the presentation design depends on your audience.

3- As for the presentation design , although I'm not a big fan of putting images, but people tend to be attracted to pictures more than anything.... so if you wanna grap their attention , choose good photos to enhance your preso.

4-If your an "aah " or "umm" person, if you use the killer words a lot , I've got some quite good advices I used myself, and thank God it worked ----- umm hopefully :P

5-Don't worry if you freak out or "err" at the first moments. Most of the normal people has been there and it's also expected !

6- Pause between each slide, make time for the audience to digest what you've given them.

7- Interact with your audience frequently , try to say stuff that will require their interaction like " who's the guy in the pic" ---- the CEO...."duh !"

8- Please don't forget to finalize your presentation , simply by saying "finally " ,"lastly " or anything like that. I tend to say " so as you can see ...bla bla bla "... when I say "so" I finalize... but to my real shame no one knows this secret code except me... so I'll try to use something that ppl understand :P

TIP : I did a very cool thing in order to improve my skills... I recorded a video of myself while presenting... the video was clear and everything...
BUT
the voice was in mute mode :( .... there is NO VOICE !!!!!!!
aaaaaaaah that's a great harsh lesson...

The Lady in Yellow Glasses Rocked FLL !

Few weeks ago, First LEGO League (FLL) event was held in the British school. For those who don't know this event, it's a Robot competition from LEGO targeted to school students. The organizer here in Saudi Arabia is Talents Center.

A large event like this one needs the help of volunteers! This was mainly the job of 'IT Digest' which we ( my friends and I ) have volunteered with.This wasn't our first time, we've volunteered also in the previous event.

It is a very enjoyable experience, I mean what could I ask more , Robots and eager kids ! this is such a pleasure to me... they were amazing and they've really done a great job!

In the previous event, I've volunteered as a referee in the competition area...it's really troublesome... u got to be fair... and u have to keep track of the whole process!... what I couldn't bear, is the sad look in the kids' faces when their robots suck in doing some missions ! I kept smiling all the time... I kept telling them how cool they are and they don't have to worry about the scores... it worked ! they did better in the other rounds .

This year's event, I've decided to change my role, as my friends suggested, I applied as an emcee. the organizer of the event immediately accepted, cuz as she claimed, no one else is more suitable than me :P

A day before the event, my friend told me to practice in front of a mirror and call her to rehearse !
"Hell, no!" I would never do that... I screw the whole thing if I get prepared to it!
Thank God, it went great , I followed the friendly "cool" way... I was just being myself ! B)

After the event was over, the kids suddenly gathered around me giving me their caps and t-shirts asking for my autograph... That was cool... it makes you feel like a celebrity :P , and it really brings back some memories ( I might go through this thing in some other posts)

Today, I saw the organaizer of the event... she told me" Oh Jaimy, every1 from the event is talking about you,they're really impressed , they say ..."

Teamwork (Statistics)

Today we have taken a pretty interesting lecture in the Software Engineering course about teamwork.

The lecture took the discussion form instead of only lecturing. So, that gave us as students the opportunity to speak out our minds about how to make a good team and what problems do we usually face. The instructor was so helpful and cooperative with us, and she seems to have a very good experience in the projects field, which I really admire about her.

Some of the problems discussed:
-The Every-phase problem… meeting the deadlines!
Although our teams consist of more than enough members, we usually cannot finish phases on time… Of course this problem is due to our same schedules since we are all students from the same level, so whenever there is a delay in the project for any reason ( Exams , other projects, etc.), this delay will be caused by all the members and cannot be solved!

-Work commitment problem. To solve this problem, the uncommitted member should submit her work as job releases so she can finish each release before deadline.

The instructor has asked the class some questions in order to make comparisons and observations; I took the opportunity and wrote down the percentages in order to make statistical information about different preferences in team working among my peers.*

The following are the statistics regarding forming the project team:
How do you prefer team formation ?

-Almost all of the students preferred to pick their team members by themselves .
-Except for only 1 student who preferred that the instructor (or anyone in charge) should assign random team members together. (Claiming that doing so would improve more skills and let her work in a more professional level) --- I totally do not agree!

How do you pick your team members?

-Most of the students (including me) prefer members with good teamwork skills, having common interests and good chemistry between team members, rather than team members with excellent skills only.

Ideal number of members in one team:
Minimum : 3
Maximum : 5

Students have stated that they prefer less number of team members in their team, and this number would vary relatively according to the size of the project.

That was all for a one-hour lecture. We really hope to see more lectures like this one , which deals with the course's material in a more realistic and interesting way.

Note: the sample space in my statistics is my class only (about 30 students), the instructor is planning to make statistics on the whole course students,which I'm really looking forward to check it out.

It's hilarious how they show you how Technical Support(TA) deal with ppl... Ok I've had some time training with the TA this summer,it was fun... but believe it or not... what they have shown in the sitcom is REAL... Doctors, nurses , employees all the non-ITs are so "pain in the butt" when it comes to computers... God they never try to do something in their own !

I wanna work in an IT dept. but surly not like the one in the show :P

iPhone 3G… Dream about it !

I’m not here to tell u how wonderful iPhone 3G is (u can see for yourself here … I’m here to tell you how mean “Apple” could be sometimes >_> !

My brother went to Apple store in Boston to buy iphone3G.. We were so excited cause the price is amazing(199$),,, and we thought that it was a special offer in USA…
Unfortunately, to purchase and activate iPhone 3G, you need the following:
- Social security number
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Current wireless account number and password or PIN (if you’re new to AT&T).

I was really disappointed to know that the iphone is locked to the carrier (AT&T in the U.S) and it will not work on another network. Also, we are required to enter a two year contract for service with AT&T ($175 to cancel)!!!! ---This company is eviler than (Al-Etisalat)

So, even if your in USA, you have to sign a contract with that network for 2 years !!! It actually turns out that the iPhone 3G is not more affordable than the firts-gen iPhone but it will even cost your 40 US dollars more in the long run. Those 40 US dollars sound nice for the added 3G and GPS ( if u really need GPS here in Saudi Arabia !)…Anyhow, I just wanted to show you that (as they say) we should always take Steve Jobs words with a pinch of salt !

I don’t think it’ll be soon offered in Saudi Arabia… and if they do, most probably it’ll be wickedly expensive (about 450 Euros in Europe ) However we only have to wait, cuz I’m pretty sure they will reduce the price --- I hope those gadget maniacs will not buy iPhone as soon as it arrives ,,,cuz if they do, I should forget about the reduced price :S

As for the black market… I think they have a lil chance to take advantage of this item ;)

I suddenly feel depressed!
but my depression situations are getting better...cuz I know the cause of them!

people are getting smarter... chances are being taken ...
I can't compete !
I don't want to!

I have to act... I have to do something!

I'm under pressure..I'm afraid to explode... I'm weak... and I'm afraid of my reaction...my self destructive behavior!

I'm having a summer training in the core of my major...Thanks to Allah I'm so happy about it ... cuz i've been longing for this since the begging of the year... but I'm so worried at the same time...

I still have 1 year and a half (or maybe 2 years) for graduation but I'm not sure what to do! I've already had training in other fields for the journey of finding myself...but I didn't find anything yet...

I simply start doing things with great enthusiasm but after a while my eagerness starts to fade out and I get bored and sick of what I'm doing! I’m really my own worst enemy >_<

God lead me to the right path,,, and forgive me for my ignorance !

I never thought that I'll be missing some pestering brat !
When my bro was preparing for going abroad to study in MIT, I was so excited thinking that I might get some space without him being around.
But when the day came... the day he'll be going..I cried ---I'm a girl after all

I really miss him nagging and begging me to solve his math and computer problems...
I miss the way he barge into my room like Godzilla (though sometimes I feel like killing him!)...or the way he bow to me to wake him up in the morning or to pick him a t-shirt(I have a weird family LOL)
I miss the way he comes to me insisting to listen to his favorite lousy rock bands (well, some are cool to be fair)
in short...
I think I miss him !

I really hate farewells...
I also hate to part from my beloved ones...

Hello Readers (stress the L ;p)

It's been a while since my last written topic. It was because of the pressure of study.

Ah… I'm SO EXHAUSTED…after (Network, Physics, Computer Architecture and Database midterms and other quizzes) all what I need is a Vacation…

And guess what everybody…. It's Vacation now in Riyadh (Saturday +sunday)…So it's gonna be 4 days (Tuesday +Friday + Saturday + Sunday)…

"Nyahaha… I enjoy repeating and counting those days to tease those who don't have this vacation all over Saudi Arabia (Except For here Riyadh).Because as you know, we're having the OPEC Conference Here in the capital city Riyadh.

But why vacation?!

Simply for 2 reasons :

1- To avoid traffic problems while the "Honored Guests arrive"!

2- I think for security issues!

Anyway…As long as we're having vacation …who cares about the reasons…

We always complain about our situation as Females in Saudi Arabia.

Let's face it, most of the girls are unqualified and the real problem is that they even don't try to improve their skills.

If we really want to be held in high positions, if we are really seeking for some fair chances in the career life, we should follow up with the improvements and be good enough to improve the miserable situation here in "Our Dear Country".

But you know girls I have received good news, my uncle told me that in an Organization he's working for, about 50% of the employees in the IT department are females!

Wow, that’s a satisfying percentage.

In some place I'm working in this summer, unemployed girls came in suddenly!
Faces with full make up + Hairstyles (intense undoes + long left hair) + High Heels … Not to mention the sparkling "Abaya " !i

Those girls were coming to make interviews! (Note: believe it or not, it's not a salon it's a Respectful Organization)!

I felt curious to know how an interview would go with such girls, so I asked one of the Human Resources if I could "observe" with one of the interviewers. And I've got the permission. "don't ask what benefits an IT student like me would get from doing this, it's just curiosity! "

I went into the room, the interviewer looked pail in front of the applicant. The girl was putting on a red lipstick, horrible red blusher and GOLDEN eye shadow; In fact everything was golden and sparkling. I couldn't help not giggling, that was so funny," but I stopped 'cause I felt that I distracted the interviewer that she wanted to laugh too!

Appearance was nothing after she started to talk! She's uncultured, has no background about anything, don't know English at all, even her Arabic was so informal, and of course no computer skills!

After being curios I felt sick.

When the interview was dismissed the interviewer told me not to be surprised many applicants looked that way, and of course they don't accept them.

What suppose that to mean?!

Well there are 3 possibilities I gained them form observation and experience.

1-I have friends that always "ALWAYS" put their sign away although they are setting right behind the screen and have nothing to do…but they just like to do the first steps (you know like saying the "Hi!" first and stupid stuff like that). I guess this is a habit and there are no ulterior motives.

2-On the other side there is some people who immediately sign in as "Away" as soon as they see unwanted contact or something like that…. They are Not "away"…but they do that to keep away the annoying persons.

3-Of course there are few people (I'm one of them ) who put there status away when they are really away from their PCs.
The same possibilities go with all other kinds of status, not to mention "appear of line"!

The bottom line is , I think there are many people who misuse the "status" feature!

If you are sick of someone or not in the mood for chatting with her, Just Block Her. Don't change your status just only for one contact that you don't want.

Dear contacts I rely on your status, so please be honest, or simply if you can resist… Block me (Don't you dare to do such a thing :p )

First I just want to clear it up to you all.
